🔗 Connection - step by step
Updated over 2 months ago

Keep in mind that...

⚠️ Alza prefers to create its own catalog, meaning product listings (adding images, descriptions, etc.) are handled directly by Alza based on your provided materials (listing tables). Therefore, the listing does not occur directly through the EXPANDO APP but is entirely managed by Alza.cz.

☝️ For correct functionality, it is necessary to have correctly filled-in prices including commission without VAT, barcodes, and the number of products in stock. You can provide this information to us automatically via XML feed or as a one-time CSV file.

1. Register on Alza Trade

You can complete the registration here.

💡 After registration, you need to fill in information about inventory, logistics, and invoicing for everything to function properly. In the "goods" category, these are the tabs: inventory and shipping, logistics settings, and invoicing settings.

2. Create an account in EXPANDO APP

You can create your account here.

If you are using the e-shop solution from Shoptet, we recommend installing the Alza Plugin. After that, simply log in through the "Shoptet Login" button in EXPANDO APP.

3. Connect the product feed

In this step, you will connect your product data source if you are not using Shoptet.

💡 To sell on Alza.cz, you need to provide the following product information in EXPANDO APP:

  • SKU (your product identification)

  • Product name

  • EAN code (if you don't have one, contact us at help@expan.do)

  • Price without VAT (if not provided directly in the feed, it can be adjusted using a CSV file)

  • Stock availability (you need to provide a real number, "in stock" alone is not sufficient)

You can import data into EXPANDO APP in three ways:

  1. If you are using Shoptet, log in via Shoptet, and all products will be automatically imported into EXPANDO APP.

  2. XML feed - A detailed guide on how to connect the XML feed can be found here.

  3. One-time import using a CSV file.

4. Select Alza.cz

You can connect Alza right in the initial step of onboarding.

Or later in the Sales Channels section > Alza > View Markets > Connect.

⚠️ If you are using Shoptet and the Alza section does not appear in the Sales Channels section of EXPANDO APP, please check if you have the Shoptet plugin installed.

5. Enter API Keys

For the Alza.cz connection, the following API keys need to be entered into EXPANDO APP:

  • BranchID

  • SupplierID

  • Secret Key

⚠️ These API keys can be found in the Alza administration and must be entered exactly as displayed. Be careful of any spaces at the beginning or end of the codes.

These details can be found directly in the Alza Trade administration. After setting "EXPANDO" as the warehouse system in the Logistics Settings, the "API and Communication" tab will appear, where the Supplier ID, Branch ID, and Secret Key will be listed. You can then enter these into EXPANDO APP 👇

Enter the API keys into the corresponding fields and click "Connect Account."

ℹ️

☝️ If you haven't entered your product feed in the previous step, now you need to input the product source.

6. Choose product source

Automatic synchronization:

The best option is to upload the product feed using an XML source or by connecting Shoptet. This ensures that stock levels and prices are automatically updated according to the data source (XML feed or Shoptet). In the case of a one-time import using CSV, all changes will need to be manually adjusted in EXPANDO APP or through CSV again.

Manual synchronization:

If you want to upload products only once, use the product import via CSV. This can also be used to adjust certain parameters, such as price or EAN code.

7. Fill in the settings in EXPANDO APP

If you are using Shoptet as the data source, in the section Settings > General > Alza, set the rules for importing orders into Shoptet.

More details can be found in the next chapter, ALZA Settings in EXPANDO APP.

8. Order management

If you are using Alza shipping, you will ship orders directly from EXPANDO APP.

This includes printing labels, BCX barcodes (for orders to branches), pickup sheets, and confirming orders directly from the EXPANDO APP > Orders administration.

You can also consolidate orders going to the same branch and send them in one package.

💡 A detailed guide can be found in Order Management and Shipping.

9. Order Cancellation

☝️ To cancel orders that already have a shipping label generated and are in the "Not Shipped" status, you must first cancel the label.

⚠️ If the order has already been scanned at a branch or has been sent for a long time (e.g., it was returned because the customer did not pick it up or returned it), the order often cannot be canceled because Alza's API does not accept our calls.

In the "Orders" section, find the specific order by its order number that needs to be canceled. Click on the last icon of the three-dot menu and select "Cancel Order," then confirm.

✅ The application will automatically recognize the reason for the order cancellation.
