❓The "CoD Adjustment" item
Updated over a week ago

The principle for cash on delivery (CoD) orders is as follows:

EXPANDO APP receives the product prices without VAT from Alza, along with the final price that the customer is supposed to pay. To ensure everything matches in Shoptet and the CoD amount is accurate, we add this "CoD adjustment" item to align the price without VAT, commission, and shipping with the final price the customer is to pay.

The difference between what you receive from Alza and what the end customer pays upon delivery is due to the commission. Alza pays you an amount reduced by its commission, while the end customer pays the full price, including this commission, at delivery. In other words, Alza pays you less than the selling price because they deduct their commission, but you collect the full amount from the customer, including Alza’s commission.
