📥 Import Products Using CSV
Updated over a week ago

If you are not using Shoptet and do not have an XML feed available, you can upload products as a one-time process using a CSV file.

ℹ️ Each marketplace has its own specifics, but all of them require the following data:

- Product code (item_id/SKU/product_id/reference, etc.)

- Product name (name/item_name, etc.)

- Quantity in stock (quantity/stock/sklad) - just "in stock" is not sufficient

- Barcode (EAN/UPC)

- Price (price/price_vat/cena)

Bulk Editing Using a CSV File

Preparing the File in Excel:

  1. Start by creating an Excel spreadsheet or a Google Sheet.

  2. Create one column titled "SKU" and enter all the SKUs for which changes will be made.

  3. Next, create additional columns based on the values you wish to modify. If you only need to change the price, simply create a second column titled "Price" and input the desired values for the corresponding SKUs. If you want to modify multiple values, such as changing prices and adding EAN codes simultaneously, create multiple columns with the appropriate titles.

  4. Ensure that the text is saved as "Plain Text" through the "Format" option.

  5. Download the file in CSV format.

  6. If you are using Microsoft Excel, save the spreadsheet in the format: CSV UTF-8.

Importing a File into EXPANDO APP - Directly in Onboarding

After registering in the EXPANDO APP, you have three options for importing products. If you are not using Shoptet and do not have an XML feed created, you can directly import products using a CSV file at this step. Below is the process.

  1. Select the option “Import data from a .CSV file.”

  2. Upload a CSV file containing the required parameters and click "Continue."

  3. In the second step, review the file preview, adjust the column delimiter if necessary, and proceed to mapping.

  4. Map the CSV file so that the EXPANDO APP knows which element in the table corresponds to which parameter. You can also "Add another parameter," for example, if you have prices in different currencies for different Amazon countries in your table.

  5. Save and continue to connect the marketplace.

Uploading the File in EXPANDO APP (Products section)

Click on the Products section:

  1. In the top menu, select the Marketplace that this applies to, such as Alza.

  2. Click on "Bulk Edit (CSV)":

  3. Drag and drop or upload the prepared file.

  4. Once the file is uploaded, select "Import new products":

  5. Map each column, such as SKU, Price, Stock, EAN, etc., so that the EXPANDO APP can recognize which column contains each specific value.

  6. Confirm the upload. EXPANDO APP will notify you how many products were successfully uploaded according to the CSV file.
